Princess Diana died more than 20 years ago, but the details of her personal life are still surfacing in the press. The public is still excited by little-known facts from the biography of Lady Dee. This time it became known about the difficult relationship of the royal person with the only daughter of Elizabeth II.
The writer Ingrid Seward, in her book Prince Edward, told of an incident after which Lady Dee’s relationship and Anna’s processes deteriorated. Princess Diana refused to appear at the christening of her newborn niece Zara. The celebration took place in the summer of 1981, shortly before the wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
“Occasions like this are the cornerstone of the royal family’s routine and integral to the theatricality of their monarchical brand; the moment when the whole family is at the parade. It would never have occurred to Edward or any of his family not to be from one of them. Diana, however, chose not to attend. She told friends in advance that she had no intention of going, but due to a lack of either manners or courage, only 48 hours before the actual ceremony, she called Princess Anne to inform her that she would not be, ”said the biographer.

It is said that Lady Dee did not attend the ceremony because she was afraid of meeting Camilla Parker-Bowles. However, the favorite of the British found another explanation. “Her excuse was that she was too busy preparing for the wedding ball that was held in her honor that night. The tone of Anna’s response could have cooled the Arctic,” Seward wrote.
