    The National Initiative expresses its solidarity with the families of the earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria

    called on the National Initiative Movement to redouble relief and humanitarian efforts and to provide as much as possible for the displaced families as a result of the earthquakes that struck both Syria and Turkey.

    The initiative also called this evening, Monday, for overcoming any political or other accounts or differences, and for everyone to contribute with their humanity to prevent the exacerbation of the repercussions resulting from that disaster, and for energies to be combined and to unite to ward off the dangers from the rest of the residents of those stricken areas. She said: “In the face of the catastrophe of the earthquakes that struck today many cities and rural areas in Turkey and Syria,

    we in the Palestinian National Initiative movement express our great shock and our deep sorrow over the loss of the huge number of safe victims, including dead and injured, and the great destruction of buildings and facilities.” Roads and infrastructure failure in those stricken areas and the displacement of thousands of families who have become homeless.

    The initiative movement offered condolences and sympathy for this great loss. Solidarity with the families of the victims and the afflicted.

    The death of a Gazan family of 7 in Antakya, Turkey, as a result of the earthquake

    , the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Turkey, Faed Mustafa, announced the death of Abdul Karim Abu Jalhoum and his family of 6 in the Turkish city of Antakya, as a result of the earthquake that struck south and southeast Turkey and northern Syria.

    Ambassador Mustafa also confirmed, according to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), that there is preliminary news of the death of a number of other citizens in Antakya, which is being followed up, with the difficulty of communicating with the city, which means that the number of victims is likely to rise.

    The ambassador explained that the victims (Abdul Karim Abu Jalhoum and his family) are from the Gaza Strip and reside in Antakya, Turkey.
