The death of the first prime minister in the era of Sisi

The former Egyptian Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail, passed away at the age of 67, according to what the Egyptian presidency announced on Saturday evening.

Ismail Monser assumed prime minister, during the first term of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, between 2015 and 2018. Al-Sisi mourned, in a tweet on his official page (Twitter), former Prime Minister Ismail, and said: “I mourn with sincere sadness and sorrow a virtuous man from the best men of Egypt, a man in whom the conscience of this nation was embodied,” adding that Ismail “took responsibility in the most difficult circumstances and darkest times, He was very responsive.” Ismail resigned in 2018 with the start of President Sisi’s second term and was succeeded by Mustafa Madbouly, who has since assumed the position of prime minister in Egypt.
