Meghan Markle has long maintained that she knew absolutely nothing about the royal family before she began her romance with Prince Harry. The British public and media don’t really believe her, so they dug up her defunct blog The Tig again and found what she wrote about Harry’s family before she met them.
Two years before they met, Meghan wrote about Kate Middleton, which refutes her claims that she knew nothing about them. Namely, at that time Meghan wrote that she would be a “royal rebel”, not Cinderella, and spoke about the pomp and endless discussions about the wedding of Kate and William. Moreover, Meghan had strong views on the monarchy.

The former actress seems to have convinced her husband that she didn’t know much about his family and him before their first date. Harry points out that Meghan went to meet his family completely unprepared. So she even allegedly thought Prince Andrew was the Queen’s aide because he was carrying her purse.
– I mean, it was surreal. There wasn’t a big moment where it said, ‘Now you’re going to meet my grandmother.’ I didn’t know I was going to meet her until a few minutes before the actual meeting. We were in the car on the way to the Royal Lodge for lunch when Harry told me that his grandmother would be coming after mass. “I remember him asking me if I knew how to bow, and I thought he was joking,” Meghan said.

Her claims that she knew nothing about Harry were denied by her childhood best friend. Ninaki Priddy, who was a bridesmaid at her wedding to Trevor Engelson, said Meghan was obsessed with the royal family and wanted to be “Diana 2.0”. British media see proof of this in a photo of 15-year-old Meghan sitting in front of Buckingham Palace in 1996.
