They call him the saddest man in Hollywood, and not without reason
Keanu Reeves is celebrating his 57th birthday today, and behind him is a difficult life, but also a childhood. There were a series of tragedies that would not fit in a movie, let alone a true-life story. Despite that, what would throw many to the bottom made him defy life even more strongly with his positive attitude. Maybe that’s why more than 50,000 fans signed an online petition in June 2019 demanding that Reeves be the person of the year in the selection of the prestigious magazine “Time”.
-He proved to be a man who has a positive global impact. His modesty, simplicity, normalcy, humanity, all his character traits make him a man who must be named the person of the year, internet activists stated.
Born on September 2, 1964, in Beirut as the son of British costume designer Patricia Taylor and geologist Samuel Naulin Reeves, a native of Hawaii. His father was a heroin addict who abandoned them when Keanu was only three years old. When his parents divorced, his mother remarried, and so on three more times. It meant growing up with three stepfathers and many addresses for the boy: Sydney, New York, Toronto. He changed as many as four high schools.
He also suffered from dyslexia, so schooling was a big challenge for him. Although he never graduated, he is a very good reader today.
