Problems with the speaker on your iPhone 12? Apple will replace it for free!

A number of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro users report problems with the top speaker during phone calls. Apple has just launched a program to replace the controversial module for free.

Apple has found that a “very small” number of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro users have problems with the top speaker during phone calls. Troubles were reportedly identified only on those models and those produced in the period between October 2020 and January 2021.

For companies, the free repair program on this issue applies only to those two models from that period. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max are not covered.

When you look at the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro it is actually clear why these two models share the problem in question. Except for the cameras on the back and the stainless steel frame compared to the matte aluminum of the regular 12, they are identical. They have the same screens, the same design and probably the same top speaker.

Contact an Apple Authorized Repairer or Distributor, who will eventually direct you to the correct address.
