46-year-old politician headed the city district since 2016
The body of the head of the Kolomna city district, Denis Lebedev, was found in his apartment in a city near Moscow. According to some reports, the official could have committed suicide. An informed source informed the Interfax agency about this.
“Lebedev, according to preliminary data, committed suicide in his apartment,” – said the agency’s interlocutor.
In turn, a representative of the regional prosecutor’s office clarified that to coordinate the actions of law enforcement agencies, the first deputy prosecutor of the Moscow region, Andrei Gantsev, and the Kolomna city prosecutor, Alexander Rubanov, went to the scene.
Denis Lebedev, 46, has headed the municipality since October 2016. In the 90s and 2000s, Lebede worked in private security structures, and since 2011 he was a deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma, where he served as deputy head of the committee for economics, entrepreneurship, and investment policy.
