Offered a fourth billion ISK in space travel with Bezos

An unnamed person today offered 28 million US dollars, or more than 3.4 billion ISK, for a seat in the journey of the rich man Jeff Bezos into space.

Bezos-owned space company Blue Origin announced on Twitter today that the name of the highest bidder would be made public in the coming weeks.

In addition to the mysterious highest bidder and Bezos, who according to Forbes is the second richest man in the world at the moment, Mark Bezos, Jeff’s brother, joins the tour.

The amount that the highest bidder will provide will go to a fund run by Bezos, a company called Club for the Future. The fund’s goal is to support the continued growth of various scientific disciplines, with an emphasis on research into the lives of humans in space, according to the fund’s website.

The Bezos brothers’ space mission and the undercover bidder are scheduled for July 20. Bezos reported this in an Instagram post the other day.
