China, Wang said, has always prioritized Pakistan in its vaccine cooperation; it stands ready to provide more support in its fight against the pandemic and to offer maximum convenience for the purchase of materials to fight the epidemic in China.
Likewise, China stands ready to work with Pakistan to intensify its efforts to implement the results of the video conference of Chinese, Afghan, Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Pakistani, and Sri Lankan foreign ministers on COVID- 19 and play a greater role in regional economic recovery, said the Chinese minister.
At the same time, Wang said, the precipitous withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan has seriously affected the national peace process in that country and has had a negative impact on regional stability.
Under such circumstances, China hopes that the United Nations will play its rightful role, that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will pay more attention to the situation, and that Afghanistan’s neighbors will strengthen communication, talk about one voice and take coordinated action, said Wang Yi.
