Chinese President Xi Jinping will participate in a rally in Beijing on Thursday to mark the country’s achievements in eradicating poverty.
Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will present awards and certificates to national honorary recipients for their contributions to the cause of alleviating poverty. He will also deliver an important speech.
