Former sex-symbol Sofia Loren (86) spoke about her enviable career on the occasion of returning to acting after an 11-year break.
In an interview with the Guardian, the Oscar winner admitted that she often doubted herself and that she often faltered. Sofia honestly recounted her experiences during her acting career as viewers will soon be able to enjoy watching her in Netflix’s film “The Life Ahead” directed by her son Eduardo Ponti.
Sofia revealed how she comforted herself in moments when she felt lost and bad.
- Sometimes I felt that way. I used to say to myself, “Shut up. Be strong. Just keep going and try. Sometimes you make mistakes and sometimes you win!” Said Sofia.
She admitted she made some mistakes, but still won.
In the film, Loren played Mrs. Rosa, a Holocaust survivor who helps raise the children of prostitutes. The actress commented on the similarity of the new role with the previous one.

By the way, Sofia, who was born as Sofia Villani Scicolone, is one of the greatest icons of the golden age of Hollywood, and she started her career in 1950.
