Even these days, the trend on YouTube in Croatia is not surprising – young Croats on this platform mostly listen to Serbian turbo-folk hits and works by local YouTube stars.
The most listened song and the most-watched video these days are the work of Aleksandra Prijovic, a singer born in Beli Manastir, who sought her way to fame in high school, when she applied to Zvezda granda.
The song Legitimno was listened to by almost three million people, and Aleksandra once again showed that she dominates the young turbo-folk scene.

The singer spoke several times about growing up in Croatia and said that she was ridiculed at school because she sings in Zvezda granda. As soon as she turned 18, she moved to Belgrade, implanted silicones in her breasts and enlarged her lips, and became one of the busiest singers in Serbia. A few years ago, she married Lepa Brena’s stepson, Filip Zivojinovic, who was one of the most desirable bachelors in Serbia for years.
